20th North Luzon Area Business Conference
The North Luzon Area Business Conference is an annual gathering of the most prominent business personalities north of the National Capital Region. The North Luzon Area comprises about 20 local chambers of commerce and industry. The Bulacan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. in partnership with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Provincial Government of Bulacan takes a gallant step of hosting the 20th NLABC.
The Conference brings together the stakeholders of local business to an annual event that will discuss current and critical issues affecting business and the economy. At the end of the Conference, the assembly will present specific resolutions to address the concerns of North Luzon. We expect the participation of about 500 participants composed of businessmen and delegates from chamber organizations in the area. Other expected attendees come from local, regional and national offices, industry associations and local business councils in Bulacan. The assembly will tackle economic programs anchored on the much talked about Public Private Partnership (PPP).

20th NLABC Formal Launching
July 20, 2011 -- The 20th NLABC Formal Launching held last July 20, 2011 at Max's Restaurant- Malolos. Attended by Bulacan Businessmen, Industry Associations, Local Business Councils in Bulacan, Conference Sponsors, Media partners, and local medias. Conference overview and significance of the NLABC has been discussed, and business concerns are gathered to be able to design them into a resolution to be presented in the 20th NLABC on August 12, 2011.

Local Business Councils
Under the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry thrust: “One.Global.Filipino: Sustaining Gains, Surging Ahead”, the BCCI is spearheading the formation of business associations in the cities and municipalities of Bulacan. The ultimate objective is to synergize government in the guise of public-private partnership.
The program was initiated under the PROPEL Development Program (under Senator Kiko Pangilinan) prove to be a viable program, providing access to grass root enterprises who need technical and financial assistance the most. Bulacan Chamber continues to support the establishment of local businessmen’s associations (Local Business Council – LBC) in the different cities and municipalities in the province, as effective vehicles in cascading development programs to the business sector. An organized group will represent the interest of local businessmen in the locality. This will enable the local government to craft policies conducive to the development of local businesses.
Among the 24 municipalities and 3 cities in the Bulacan, the Bulacan Chamber has already organized 19 LBC’s under the helm of former LBC Director Ariel S. Arceo and present Director-In-Charge Ma. Cristina T. Gonzales. To-date the towns of Angat, Baliuag, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulakan, Bustos, Calumpit, City of Malolos, City of San Jose Del Monte, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Marilao, Meycauayan, Norzagaray, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Rafael and Sta. Maria.
The local associations will be the voice of business in their own localities, addressing specific issues and concerns of the business sector in their own cities and municipalities. By affiliating with the provincial association, they will be able to easily access membership support programs being enjoyed by the accredited chamber in the province. The group meets regularly to share experiences and benchmark best practices. During these meetings difficulties being encountered by each council are also discussed, suggestions were also being raised for the development of each business members. The BCCI conducts seminars, training and updates localized for the member chapters according to their request.
