"Kawayan Para sa Ilog Angat"

A River Rehabilitation Project thru Bamboo Reforestation organized by Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan and DENR-PENRO Bulacan.

This is a Tree Planting Activity to be held on June 16, 2023, 6:30 AM at Barangay Sta. Lucia, Angat, Bulacan in line with BCCI’s environmental program called “Trees for Life Project”. Since 2007, the BCCI has continually implemented tree planting activity as its way of giving back to the environment for the benefit of the next generation.

In line with the celebration of the Environment Month this June 2023, five hundred (500) bamboo propagules will be planted along the Angat river banks. The propagation of bamboo in the area will help control soil erosion, stabilize river banks, and rehabilitate degraded areas. Bamboo is also important in mitigating the effects of the climate change as it can sequester more carbon than any other types of trees.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE.

The P500.00 joining fee per head is inclusive of shirt, light snacks, and certificate. This will also help us to implement the project successfully; to cover project related cost such as site preparation, transport of seedlings from the nursery to the planting site, among others.
