May 2024 - The search for MOBB is an important undertaking of BCCI which aims to inspire, encourage, and give due recognition to our local entrepreneurs and business leaders, who have diligently and honestly worked hard to attain success and exhibited exemplary practices in their respective lines of business. The recognition does not only focus on sustained profitability but also on their contributions to community, social, and human development. The MOBB Awards Night was successfully held last May 24, 2024, at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, Guinhawa, City of Malolos, Bulacan. The awardees were Mr. Benjamin Eusebio from the Construction Manufacturing and Services Industry, Arch. Juan Monique Villangca from the Architectural Design and Construction Industry, Ms. Aurora Uychoco from the Retail of Construction Supplies Industry, Mr. Kevin McHale Yao from the Automotive Sales Industry, and Chooseyourshoes Philippines (CYS-PH), Inc. from the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.
The MOBB 2024 Awards Night also marked the oath-taking ceremony for the BCCI Board of Trustees for the Chamber Year 2024 inducted by none other than the President of PCCI, Consul Enunina Mangio, she also delivered an inspirational message.
Atty. Antonio A. Ligon, Trustee of Dangal ng Bulacan Foundation, Inc., the Guest Speaker during the MOBB Awards Night with the topic “Beyond Profit: The Leaders of Tomorrow with Responsibility and Success”. The event was also graced by Bulacan Local Government Officials, MOBB Past Awardees, BCCI members, non- members businessmen in the province, and families and friends of the awardees.
June 2024 - The Municipality of Bustos represented by Mr. Edu Galvez, President of BPLO, and Ms. Mary Madeleine S. Javier, Designated LEDIPO requested for a Consultation Meeting with BCCI in order to participate in the PCCI's Most Business-Friendly LGU competition. The consultation meeting was held last June 5, 2024 at the BCCI Office. This is the first time that the Municipality of Bustos will join the MBF LGU. BCCI President Bautista assured them that the BCCI is willing to give its support, they can also request BCCI to critique their bid book before submission to PCCI.
June 2024 - An exploratory meeting was spearheaded by the BCCI President, Ms. Corina Tengco-Bautista and the Provincial Planning and Development Office Department Head, Ms. Arlene Pascual last June 11, 2024. The meeting focused on the possibility of having a trade mission to Barcelona, Spain, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan. BCCI Admin Officer, Ms. Marissa De Castro, Membership Services and Business Development Officer, Ms. Jonie Mangalonzo, and PPDO Intern, Mr. Egie Follero were also present during the meeting. Ms. Pascual suggested to held the activity probably in July 2025 after the election period.
June 2024 - The Bulacan CCI, PCEDO, DTI-Bulacan, LGU Bustos, and LGU Meycauayan participated in a roundtable discussion conducted last June 7, 2024, in the PCEDO Conference Room, City of Malolos. Following the successful launch of InvestBulacan Plus last April 5, 2024, the City Government of Meycauayan represented by Mr. Jun Torres and the Municipality of Bustos represented by Mary Madeleine S. Javier expressed their intent for the creation of chamber of commerce in their locality in order to encourage and promote the growth and development of their community. Ms. Ruth Jimenez, Finance and Admin Officer of BCCI recalled that there were an organized LCCIs in Meycauayan and Bustos in 2009, but unfortunately after few years, the organization suddenly became inactive. An overview on how to reorganize the LCCI was discussed citing the experiences of the reorganization of Malolos CCI for reference. Since the two LGUs are also vying for the Most Business Friendly LGU Awards, BCCI President, Ms. Corina Tengco-Bautista gave them advise on how they can present their bid books. Ms. Grace Dela Cruz ,OIC of IPU-PCEDO presented the Provincial Government of Bulacan’s best practices in its bid to the same award to give the two LGUs a guide. Also present in the Roundtable Discussion were DTI-Bulacan OIC, Ms. Cristina Valenzuela, and Unit Head of the Office of the PD, Ms. Lota Yasa.
June 2024 - The BCCI’s Executive Committee Meeting was held last June 11, 2024, at the BCCI Conference Room, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, Provincial Capitol Compound, City of Malolos, Bulacan. The agenda includes MOBB 2024 Post Project Report, Souvenir Program, Upcoming Events as per BCCI Calendar, Activities in partnership with Converge, and 33rd NLABC. The meeting was attended by eleven (11) trustees and the secretariat.
