June 2024 - A preparatory meeting between the Bulacan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) was held last June 19, 2024, at Max’s Restaurant-Kapitolyo to discuss the upcoming Bulacan Business Forum or the BCCI’s Mid-Year General Membership Meeting with the theme “Synergizing Partnership, Advancing Innovation and Entrepreneurship”. This initiative entails fostering inclusive innovation and supporting the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the province to gain a competitive advantage, business growth, and resilience. BCCI President, Ms. Corina Tengco-Bautista; Finance and Admin Officer, Ms. Ruth Jimenez; and Membership and Business Development Officer, Ms. Jonie Mangalonzo, represented the BCCI. The activity was initially scheduled any day on August 12-16, 2024 but due to unavailability of the The Pavilion, it was temporarily moved in the month of October 2024, which is also timely as it was declared to be the “Bulacan Business Month”.

June 2024 - The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) full council meeting was held via Zoom last June 24, 2024. The agenda of the meeting includes preparations for National Disaster Resilience Month and an additional member of the council from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Bulacan. BCCI Trustee and Chairperson for Innovation, Mr. Aristotle A. Cruz, and Membership Services and Business Development Officer, Ms. Jonie Mangalonzo, attended the virtual meeting to represent the BCCI.

June 2024 - The DTI-Region 3 held the 2nd Quarter meeting of the Regional Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) last June 24, 2024 at the Greene Manor Hotel, Lazatin Blvd., City of San Fernando, Pampanga. A short learning session on productivity was conducted which orient the council on productivity concepts, measures, tools, and techniques in order to better cater to the needs of MSMEs in terms of workplace efficiency. The BCCI President, Ms. Corina Tengco-Bautista graced the event to represent the BCCI.

June 2024 - The BCCI, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bulacan, hosted a wellness seminar via Zoom platform with the theme "Webinar on Championing Health: Bulacan’s Business Frontline Against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)". Dr. Jehan Z. Echavez, BCCI Vice President for Advocacy, facilitated the webinar. Dr. Maria Rachel Santos, President of ACSA Health Solutions Inc., also a BCCI Member was the Resource Speaker. Non-communicable diseases are diseases that are not spread through infection or through other people, but are typically caused by unhealthy behaviors. They are the leading cause of death worldwide and present a huge threat to health and development, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Dr. Santos discussed how to fight the rising NCDs and promoted health and well- being in the workplace. The webinar was attended by thirty-nine (39) individuals from twenty-six (26) companies.
